चर्चा में क्यों? हाल ही में ‘भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो’ (Bureau of Indian Standards- BIS) ने पाइप द्वारा पेयजल की आपूर्ति के लिये मानकों का एक मसौदा तैयार किया गया है ।
प्रमुख बिंदु: ‘पेयजल आपूर्ति गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन प्रणाली- पाइप द्वारा पेयजल आपूर्ति सेवा के लिये आवश्यकताएँ’ नामक यह मसौदा भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो की ‘सार्वजनिक पेयजल आपूर्ति सेवा अनुभागीय समिति’ (Public Drinking Water Supply Services Sectional Committee) द्वारा तैयार किया गया है। इस मसौदे में स्त्रोत से लेकर घर के नल तक पानी की आपूर्ति की प्रक्रिया को रेखांकित किया गया है।
